Businesses in Doncaster are being invited to play their part in Pride of Yorkshire – the most ambitious public art trail South Yorkshire has ever seen, with a £2.8 million fundraising target for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity. Running throughout summer 2026, the trail will celebrate 150 years of Sheffield Children’s Hospital with 150 large lion sculptures painted by artists, and 150 lion cubs decorated by schools and community groups. It’s Pedal and Paddle Power for Doncaster’s New Sport Development Officer

A new sport development officer has joined Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust (DCLT) and his first mission is to expand participation in two key sports; table tennis and cycling.   Reece Goodwin, from Rotherham, has joined DCLT from Sheffield Children’s Hospital where he worked as an Exercise and Physical Activity Therapist and brings with him five years of experience as a PE sports coach. He also has a degree in Sports Development and Coaching.   The Sports Development Officer is a new role for DCLT
