September can be a month of new starts; little ones starting school, older kids flying the nest to university, potential new jobs and new seasons.
While it can be an exciting time, it can also, understandably, be paired with some feelings of worry. Doncaster Talking Therapies is reminding people of the free, confidential help on offer for anyone who might be struggling.
Change is a constant. It can bring challenges, uncertainty and mix up our usual routines. We tend to be able to deal with change day to day, however, big life changes can sometimes make us feel more anxious. Some worries or low mood can be, to a certain extent, 'normal', but when these feelings start to affect day-to-day life, it can be a sign that some support might be needed.
If you're worrying more often than not or have felt down for a couple of weeks, Doncaster Talking Therapies can help with free, effective treatment - plus, optional employment support to help you find, remain in or return to work while you're using our service.
Talking Therapies can help if you're struggling with the symptoms of common mental health conditions such as stress, depression, anxiety, phobias, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We also have a specialist long-term conditions team which can help you to learn to live well with any health issues that may be impacting your mental wellbeing.
To sign up for Talking Therapies support, you can self-refer online or give the team a call. There's no need to see your GP first:
